Product description

On/off button for hoverboards, 2-pin, with 29 cm cable

If your hoverboard no longer reacts to the power button, only starts when you press hard, or simply stays off, the button itself is usually worn out. This on/off button replaces it: a round metal push button with a threaded shaft, 29 cm of red and black cable and a 2-pin plug with a latch at the end. Put the button in the hole, push the plug onto the board, done.

Please check before buying: the old button has exactly two wires, red and black, ending in a small white 2-pin plug. Then this part fits. It is not intended for buttons with a light ring or for buttons with a 3-pin plug, as the third contact is missing here. The hole in the shell needs about 12 mm, a nut is not included.

Does this button fit my hoverboard?

It fits if the old button has exactly two wires, red and black, ending in a small white 2-pin plug. That is the usual design on 6.5, 8 and 10 inch boards. If your button has a light ring or a 3-pin plug, this part does not fit.

Is a nut included?

No. You get the button with cable and plug. You can reuse the nut from your old button, otherwise a standard nut for 12 mm panel buttons fits.

How does the button switch on and off?

You press once to switch on and press again to switch off. The button passes the signal to the mainboard, the on/off logic sits on the board, not in the button.
